Content Creator – Raseef22 (Remote)

The Content Creator will work closely with the Editorial and Social Media teams to transform Raseef22's journalism into engaging, creative, and platform-appropriate content. The role focuses on storytelling, visual production, and adapting editorial material into formats that resonate with diverse audiences, while maintaining Raseef22's editorial values and tone.

• Create original, engaging multimedia content (video, visuals, short-form storytelling) aligned with Raseef22's editorial vision and social media strategy.
• Adapt written editorial content (articles, investigations, opinion pieces) into creative formats suitable for social media platforms.
• Develop video concepts, storyboards, and scripts in coordination with the editorial and social media teams.
• Produce short-form videos (Reels, Shorts, TikToks) that balance creativity, accuracy, and journalistic responsibility.
• Stay up to date with digital storytelling trends, content formats, and platform-specific best practices.
• Collaborate closely with journalists and editors to ensure content accuracy and editorial coherence.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and editorial meetings to propose new content ideas and storytelling approaches.
• Support coverage of Raseef22 events, campaigns, and special projects through creative content production.
• Contribute to live or near-live content during events when needed, in coordination with the Social Media team.
• Take part in regular reviews of content performance and adjust creative approaches accordingly.
• Participate in internal training and capacity-building sessions related to content creation, ethics, and digital tools.

• Strong storytelling skills with an understanding of journalism and editorial ethics.
• Experience in video production and editing for digital platforms.
• Ability to translate complex political, social, or cultural topics into accessible content.
• Creative mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced and sensitive news environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and content formats (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube).
• Interest in human rights, social justice, and independent media.

• Experience working with media outlets or editorial teams.
• Knowledge of the Arab region's political and social context.
• Experience with subtitles, multilingual content, or Arabic storytelling formats.
• Basic understanding of analytics and audience engagement.
