As we strive to create dynamic spaces for youth and reclaim the journalistic narrative, making it accessible to students in Lebanon, beyond the echo chamber, Raseef22 is proud to announce its upcoming inaugural media forum, taking place in Beirut, May 22-23, 2024.

The forum will feature a host of participants, including students from universities across Lebanon, experts in the presented fields, representatives from civil society organizations and various other media outlets. During the forum, Raseef22 will announce the winner of the "Youth: Not on the Margins" competition for best article written by a student, held earlier this year.

The forum aims to build a bridge between journalism students, and re-examine certain challenges faced by independent media, including the algorithm, misinformation, the role of AI, the need to deliver content that resonates with future generations, and how best to represent youth and marginalized groups.

What to expect:

- Sessions with experts on various media and activism topics.

- Dynamic and interactive focus groups based on the categories that interest you.

- Designated, informative booths including "NasRaseef" and "Journalist? Know Your Rights"

- A musical evening and dinner on May 22, 2024.

- Photos and other souvenirs from Raseef22.

- Awarding the winner of the best student article.

- Insights, summaries, solutions, and creative conversations, from-and-to the next generation of journalists.

Date: May 22nd and 23rd, 2024.

Location: Asfari Institute for Civil Society and Citizenship on the American University of Beirut campus.

The invitation is open to all enthusiasts who wish to participate in open, constructive dialogue, and in bringing about societal change in Lebanon and the Arab region.
