Dr. Amrita Kapur

Dr. Amrita Kapur is a highly regarded intersectional feminist leader from Australia, with over 18 years of experience in justice, security, and peace-building. As Secretary General for WILPF, Dr. Kapur spearheads international advocacy engaging States and institutions to address the root causes of conflict. Previously, as the Head of Gender at UNRWA, she developed the Agency’s groundbreaking Gender Strategy (2023-28) and Gender Action Plan, driving institutional gender priorities across the organization and with donor states.
